Tess Rafferty, MFT Intern
Tess comes to Madison MFT with a background in coaching and meditation instruction, and continues to support clients who ae seeking to cultivate compassion for themselves and within their relationships. She believes that everyone can benefit from the therapeutic experience, regardless of what life stage they are in currently. Tess works with her clients to set goals that will create a meaningful journey and designs a custom treatment plan for each unique individual, couple or family she meets. She takes an integrative and solution-focused approach, and equips clients with strategies and tools to continue their healing and growth work in between sessions. While goal-setting is important, the therapy room is also a sacred space for open exploration, and clients often find that therapy uncover previously unrecognized opportunities for expansion within themselves and their relationships. Tess believes her clients are the experts of their own lives, and already have everything they need to create the relationships and experiences they desire. Tess is currently pursuing her MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Iona College and graduated with a BA in History from Columbia University.
